Anna Chiaretta Lavatelli is a video artist working with installation that engages feminine identity and performance. She received her BA in Media Studies at the University at Buffalo while performing with various collectives throughout Western New York and exhibiting at venues such as Hallwalls, CEPA and Squeaky Wheel while screening internationally with her video and film work. More recently she worked out of Brooklyn, New York where she could be seen with Perpetual Art Machine who featured her as an Artist at Large in NYC Scope Art Fair. More recently work has been exhibited in Tijuana, Los Angeles, and San Diego. This past summer she attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture on a full fellowship, and works at the University of California San Diego where she is currently an MFA Candidate.
