Slinko is a multi-disciplinary visual artist, currently dividing her time between Brooklyn, NY and Ricmond, VA. Born in Soviet Union (now Ukraine), she immigrated to the United States in 1996. Slinko studied painting at Kharkiv Institute of Industrial Art, graphic design at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and is now working on her MFA in sculpture and extended media from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Slinko has been awarded Jacob K. Javits Fellowship, and granted residencies at Sculpture Space and Henry Street Settlement in New York. Her work has been shown internationally and nationally at Moore College of Art & Design, Philadelphia, Islip Art Museum, East Islip, NY, and G Fine Art, Washington, DC among other places. Slinko has recently attended Skowhegan School of of Painting and Sculpture, and is working on upcoming show at Vox Populi in Philadelphia.
